Our salute to the Gainwell Warriors of West Bokaro whose selfless efforts in these trying times have not allowed any disruption in coal production at West Bokaro.
Q-AB and Q-SEB at West Bokaro are the captive coal blocks of Tata Steel Limited. West Bokaro division is the largest steel grade coal producing mine of Tata Steel and these coal blocks fulfil the coal requirement of steel plants located at Jamshedpur (Jharkhand) and Kalinganagar (Odisha). Also, coal produced at West Bokaro feeds to Tata Steel’s captive power plant which ensures uninterrupted power supply to its steel plant and for civic purposes.
Our salute to the Gainwell Warrior who is fighting a lone battle at Shahdol (MP). He is thousands of miles away from home at this critical juncture, extending crucial support to Cuprum Bagrodia Limited (CBL).
The first Highwall Mining system, indigenously manufactured by Gainwell, is in operation at the nearby mine, Sharda OCP of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL).
Our Gainwell Warrior reiterates our commitment to the customers as we provide the complete range of services across the value chain to them.
Major parts of Bihar and Jharkhand are powered by the electricity generated from the Kahalgaon Super Thermal Power Station, one of the coal-based power plants of NTPC. The Thermal Power Station is again dependent on the supply of coal from ECL Rajmahal. Any disruption in coal supply will interrupt the power generation, putting major parts of Bihar and Jharkhand to darkness.
Our salute to the Gainwell Warriors stationed at ECL Rajmahal, for rising to the occasion and ensuring uninterrupted power supply for millions of Indians.
Today, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the Gainwell Warriors posted at ONGC, Agartala, Tripura. Despite the prevalent challenging times, they are ensuring 24x7 support for the seamless operation of the power plant, that has been notified as an essential service by Government of India.
There are 2XG3516C (i.e. 2X1.4MW) running continuously to provide uninterrupted power supply to ONGC, both colony and offices. In the absence of a Grid supply, this the sole source of electricity for the prestigious customer.
Along with the support to the power plant operation, the Gainwell Warriors are also continuing to provide necessary service at the rig site, playing an important role and helping ONGC to fulfill the growing energy needs of the nation.
Our salute to the Gainwell Warriors stationed at Oil India Limited, Noonmati. They are playing a crucial role in ensuring that there is no disruption in operation at this premier national oil company.
There are 3X6CM25C (i.e. 3X1.5MW) Crude Engine Generator Sets, running continuously to supply uninterrupted power to one of the most important pumping stations, PS-V, along with that of the colony and offices of OIL. In the absence of a grid supply, it becomes imperative to provide round-the-clock support for the seamless operation of the power plant.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Gainwell Warrior who is presently help up at S P Mines – Chitra (Jharkand)of Eastern Coalfield Limited(ECL). This is one of the remotest mines of ECL with 5X773E CAT Dumpers ,working continuously to ensure uninterrupted coal production and supply to the different thermal power stations of Bihar and Jharkhand.
The Engineer was at the customer site when the lockdown was announced and he could not move out due to the advisory issued by the government. He is all alone ,away from home and away from his colleagues at ECL, Sonepur Bazari MARC.
Our warrior ,however, is undeterred and determined to provide essential support to the customer till the situation improves.
the Our salute to the 150 plus Gainwell Warriors at Jhanjra I and Jhanjra ll who are ensuring the normal operations at this oldest and largest underground operating mine in India.
The coal generated from these mine feed power to the state based thermal power plants.
The team had also set a benchmark for the industry in the past, through the deployment of the Low Height Continuous Miner package sets ,thus opening up a new chapter of thin seam mining in India
In spite of the adversities presented by the current situation, the Gainwell Warriors at Bicharpur , Shahdol are continuing to drive the incline drivage to access the coal seam at Bicharpur Underground Coal Mine Project.
The team is navigating geological disturbances and difficult mining conditions while ensuring emergency services for the customer.
This is the first Underground Incline Drivage Project for Gainwell, commissioned for Ultratech Cement Limited . It is a fully mechanised incline drivage project with simultaneous deployment of 2 units of Road Header in India.
Our Salute to the Gainwell Warriors who are supporting the efficient functioning of the power plant of ONGC at Sibsagar. The Power plant is powered by 2XG516C (i.e. 2X1.4MW) ensuring 24X7 power Supply to ONGC, both colony and offices.
It is the selfless efforts of the Warriors in these trying times that have not allowed any disruption in the power supply to ONGC.
In addition to supporting the power plant operation, our brave personnel are also extending the necessary services at the rig site.
Meet Shantanu Sarkar, General Manager and Head of our Underground Coal Mining project at Jhanjhra – India’s largest underground coal mine located in West Bengal. Shantanu and his team of 140 mining engineers are working day and night to produce coal to feed India’s power plants in this hour of grave global crisis.
Shantanu hasn’t seen his family for weeks including his son who returned from Australia two weeks ago and remains quarantined at home.
Shantanu and his team represent the best of our corporate values nurtured over last 75 years. They are bravely fighting the battle against Corona pandemic from the frontlines with a determination to serve our great country in the best possible manner.
