We secured a contract from the Refugee Rehabilitation Directorate, Government of West Bengal, for a Caterpillar D8 Tractor for Rs. 1.34 lakh and a Caterpillar 112 Motor Grader for Rs. 72.000
In a ground-breaking move, Caterpillar USA launched manufacturing operations in India. This development provided us with direct access to Caterpillar products, greatly enhancing our customer service and reducing time to market.
We expanded our horizons beyond Indian borders, forging new agreements to extend our services to Nepal, Bhutan, and Myanmar.
A key moment that boosted our growth. We expanded our portfolio to include power systems, oilfield equipment, custom off-highway trucks, and underground mining tools.

We launched our first Six Sigma initiative to enhance manufacturing efficiency and process optimization. This effort aims to significantly reduce defects and improve overall quality. This initiative marks a significant step towards achieving higher operational excellence.
We conduct our operations in Nepal through our wholly-owned subsidiary, Tractors Nepal Private Limited (TNPL). We specialize in servicing, repairing, and maintaining Caterpillar equipment and assemblies.
Gainwell's SEB MARC Project, a collaboration with our esteemed customer Tata Steel, operates in West Bokaro, Jharkhand. With over two decades of experience, it oversees the efficient operation of Caterpillar mining equipment at a sprawling open-cast coal mine.
Renowned for its cutting-edge facilities and dedication to sustainability, the project upholds industry-leading standards in safety and innovation.
We launched India’s first Caterpillar Rental Store in Sahibabad, Delhi. Subsequently, we earned the ‘Best Supplier Award’ from Tata Steel and received the Caterpillar APD (Asia Pacific Division) President’s Award for Six Sigma.
We opened a cutting-edge component rebuild centre in Asansol, West Bengal. The facility features advanced technology and capabilities.
We incorporated Tractors India Pvt Ltd
We acquired Bucyrus from Caterpillar, expanding our offerings to mining customers with an unmatched range of products and services.
TIPL came to be known as Gainwell. We reshaped our vision, guided by our core values. With renewed promise, we stepped boldly into a vibrant future, where our commitment sparks endless possibilities.
